In 2001 The International Wine and Spirit Competition recognised the achievements of Wolf Blass, with an award for the Best Australian Wine Producer. Ever since the inaugural 1966 vintage, Yellow Label has developed a strong reputation for quality and consistency. Shiraz and Viognier grapes are crushed and inoculated in a mix of fermenters, vinified and pressed before a brief maturation under a combination of French and American oak, to retain the wine's primary focus on the fresh fruit characters. Alcohol 14.0%
	Vibrant crimson colour with purple hues. Aromatic red fruits of raspberry and cherry are given a lovely floral lift with the addition of Viognier, which contributes attractive hints of ginger and apricot, violet and spice. A medium bodied red, sweet berry fruits on the palate with a silkiness and slipperyness from the Viognier. A textural wine with gentle, round tannins adding length on the finish.
