	The most coke addled advertising executive couldn't have come up with a label called Dowie Doole, but fast forward, and this name now enjoys a growing reputation in Australia and overseas. Small crops of extraordinary Shiraz grapes are grown to some enduring Mclaren Vale vines, fermented and matured at the Boar’s Rock wineworks. 	Each $39.99 Dozen $479.88	Dowie Doole is blessed by small parcels of the highest quality Shiraz, selected at picking and kept separate into barrel. Fruit shows great colour and impressive structure right through to the tannins, fully ripe berries with beautiful acidity translating into well balanced wines. Parcels from Norm and Jane Doole's Norjan Vineyard in the McLaren Vale and Pam Baker's Townsend Park vineyard at McLaren Flat are crushed and fermented in open fermenters for eight days. Juices are run off into a combination of American and French oaks, medium-toast hogsheads, and barrel fermented to dryness. The parcels are racked and topped several times while remaining in barrel until final assemblage. Alcohol 15.0%
	Very deep, rich crimson colour. Notes of black cherry and violet, plum, marzipan and liquorice on the nose. The palate reveals excellent integration of fruit with vanillin oak, full-bodied, mouth filling flavours balanced by a velvety tannin structure. Flavours of black cherry, blood plums, black pepper, dark chocolate, more marzipan and liquorice linger right through, and onto the very long smooth aftertaste.
