	John and Patricia Kennedy make a very special wine. Work in the vineyard is focused on unravelling the intricate differences within the site. The property was carefully chosen and the viticulture is tailored to growing fruit that is flavoursome, structured and balanced, to be gently crafted into wine by the eminent Sandro Mosele. 	Each $19.99 Dozen $239.88	The Kennedy Vineyard is located on prime land along the east facing slope of the Mount Camel Range on Heathcote’s famed Cambrian soil. Pruning has been carefully undertaken to produce vines which are balanced to evenly ripen the crop load. Separate parcels of fruit were handpicked, de-stemmed, and fermented in small open fermenters using indigenous yeasts and gentle plunging. After pressing to barrel, the wine was allowed to undergo a natural malolactic fermentation in spring. The best barrels of wine are selected for the Kennedy Label. Matured in a combination of new and prior use French oak barriques followed by bottling under the taint free DIAM technical cork. Alcohol 13.5%
	Bright purple red. Fragrant cherry and summer berries, brown spices and subtle oak notes. A savoury spicy aroma of white pepper, nutmeg and dried fruits, is followed by restrained berry fruits, red currant and cherry on the front palate. Structured and even, with flavours of berry fruits, red currant and cherry on the front palate which integrate perfectly with a gentle spicy mid palate. The fine grained tannins and smart acidity extend the elegant flavours through to the finish. Kennedy is an elegant, well balanced, Heathcote Shiraz.
