	From one of the Coonawarra's most illustrious viticulturalists, Punters Corner is home to the 2000 Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy. The wines are identifiably Coonawarra in style, vinified from the pick of the estate's crop every year. The source of fruit for some of Australia's most widely enjoyed wines, the top ten percent is held back and reserved for bottling under the Punters Corner label. 	Each $24.99 Dozen $299.88	Following harvest and the crush, juices are pressed off skins, followed by several days of vinification at temperatures up to 30°C. Ferments are pumped over twice daily with complete working of the skins to ensure maximum extraction of colour, and flavour, adding complexity and developing the structure. A component is pressed off skins into new American oak to complete fermentation. Wines are racked and reworked once or twice during oak maturation, barrels are stored at twelve o’clock with regular topping. Aged twenty months in new and second fill French, American and Russian oak from Seguin Moreau, Bossuet and Dargaud and Jaegle coopers, before an egg white fining and bottling
	Saturated dark ruby purple in colour. The nose is intense with complex blackcurrant and black fruits, a lifted minty /eucalypt note combined with rich vanillin oak, mocha and chocolate. The palate is medium bodied with a full spicy blackcurrant flavour and firm tannin finish. "Nose of smoky oak, freshened by blackcurrant, black olive and mint, a palate of soy sauce, dates, green olives and dark chocolate.
