	Each $29.99 Dozen $359.88	The Majella property was originally acquired for the purpose of grazing lamb. Eric Brand of neighbouring Laira Vineyard was experiencing success with his wines and was also selling quantities to Hardy. Brand offered to buy grapes from Majella if the land was turned over to fruitgrowing. The site was planted in 1968 and eventually some seventy acres were under vine. Much of the vintages that followed went to Wynn's Coonawarra, but it was not until 1993 that Majella vinified and bottled its own estate labelled wine. The inaugural release was enthusiastically received and Majella have never looked back. Cabernet Sauvignon completes barrel fermentation and is aged for up to two years in 300 litre French oak hogsheads
	A wonderful, deep magenta colour. A rich nose, bordelais-like, offering up classic aromas of tobacco and spice box, dried herbs, cedar and black currants. Redolent of ripe plums, black berry and hints of dusty oak. There is great fruit on the attack, the palate is true Coonawarra cabernet, very structured, with layers of flavour, an elegant, medium bodied style, a seductive plummage of briars and blackcurrant running the length of palate. Varietal definition is it's strong point, the tannins are refined, brains, beauty and style, it’s a real winner! Majella Malleea 2005

The ripest parcels of fruit from the oldest of Majella's vines, a gentle fermentation at the estate cellars, finished off by a ferment in new French oak hogsheads. Malleea is then aged for another twenty nine months in same barrels before bottling in fine imported Italian glass. "Animated and lithe, it captivates from the very moment it's opened.
