	Named for the contribution of Johann Gramp’s grandson Hugo to the Orlando Wine Company, St Hugo is the very best varietal Cabernet Sauvignon on offer from Jacob’s Creek. St Hugo is vintaged entirely from fruit grown to the famed cigar shape of Coonawarra Terra Rossa, one of the world's premiere Cabernet appellations. Winemakers regularly visit the vineyards monitoring the development of grapes. Selection is the key to delivering the finest possible St Hugo, only the stand out parcels of Coonawarra Cabernet are earmarked for inclusion Coonawarra Gold Medals Riverina, Rutherglen & Hobart
	Each $29.99 Dozen $359.88	Each vineyard parcel is individually harvested and vinified. All grapes are de-stemmed and crushed into static fermenters. Extraction of colour, flavour and tannin are achieved by pumpovers regularly allowing the fermenting juices to percolate through the skins. At a temperature range of 15°C to 28°C, the ferment is held on skins for eight to twenty days. The wines are drained from the skins, pressed and returned to the drainings. The component wines spend eighteen to twenty months maturing in a mix of new and seasoned French oak barrels. Trials of individual barrels are undertaken to ensure the finished St Hugo shows intense varietal flavour, complexity and full yet silky tannins. Approx 14.0%
	Full depth red with crimson highlights. Lifted cassis and blackberry fruit with dark chocolate complemented by subtle cedar oak notes. Concentrated cassis, blackberry and mint flavours combined with spicy cedar oak and youthful, fine grained tannins. The richness and intensity of fruit flavour is perfectly balanced with fresh acidity. The complexity of the French oak enhances the dense varietal fruit characters. A full bodied wine displaying a satisfyingly rich, textured palate of concentrated cassis and berry fruit flavours with well integrated tannins. St Hugo remains a highly stylish Coonawarra Cabernet, those who drink it now will be rewarded, it's excellent structure indicating that it carries the potential to age gracefully
