Since then, the Majella vineyards, planted in 1968, have been the source of the most highly prized grapes for many well regarded national brands. The very best of Majella's fruit, the pick of the crop you might say, is retained for the estate's own label. Majella is one of the most highly awarded small wineries in Australia, the inaugural release of The Musician was met with unprecedented critical acclaim. Previous vintages have claimed the highly coveted A&G Engineering Trophy for Best Dry Red Blend and Clear Image Trophy for Best Red Blend
	Deep scarlet in colour. An exceptional bouquet and palate, vibrant, unmistakably Coonawarra to smell and taste, bursting with flavours of blackcurrant, mulberry and herbs, and fine, elegant and juicy in the mouth. The Musician is quite low in oak, with just a smidge of vanillin showing faintly on the mid palate, but otherwise the brambly, blackcurrant flavours demand all the attention. Fine silky tannins integrate with the fruit and minimal oak treatment to produce an approachable well rounded wine with an extended length. Quite a complex wine and very ready to drink right now. The Vintage Jacob’s Creek Reserve Chardonnay Pinot Noir is a premium quality bottle fermented sparkling wine. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes used to make this wine were sourced from recognised cool climate sparkling regions throughout South Eastern Australia. The winter preceding this vintage was blessed with above average rainfall, highlighted by wet conditions during August. Typically, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were harvested early in the vintage for sparkling when the grapes have fresh varietal flavours and high natural acidity.
