	Woodhenge is about big ideas, in the mould of cyclopean fences built by early settlers. A wine of great elemental sculpture, the assemblage of individual vineyard and sub-regional characteristics is the key to the success of the style. 	Each $24.99 Dozen $299.88	A legacy well worth toasting, named after the massive post and rail fence that now greets visitors to the winery. Wirra Wirra founder/ winemaker Greg Trott was a self styled grape grower, chook farmer, cricket afficionado and tireless ambassador for his beloved McLaren Vale. Along with his cousin Roger, Greg re-built the derelict Wirra Wirra winery from two remaining walls and some slate fermenting tanks, transforming it into the handsome internationally acclaimed winemaking operation it is today. Shiraz is sourced from estate vineyards and premium McLaren Vale growers. Matured for twenty two months in a combination of new, one and two year old French and American oak barriques. Alcohol 14.5%
	Deep plum with a bright crimson hue. Rich fresh plum nose with a hint of aniseed. Chocolate/ mocha undertones with an underlying sweet vanilla finish. Lifted cinnamon and fresh plum provide for a rich and fleshy mouthfeel, backed by a firm tannin finish. Mocha and dark forest fruits fill out the middle palate, balanced by a refreshing acid structure and rounded off with refined and subtle oak. To accompany pork belly with red wine jus. Skillogalee is Celtic for a sort of gruel commonly fed to prisoners. When John Horrocks finally made it back to Penwortham after his trek through the Flinders ranges on Afghan camels, he gave the creek nearby the name Skillogalee in memory of the scant provisions which sustained the expedition. An essential Clare Valley edition from fully mature vines, Skillogalee's 1978 Dry Riesling won major trophies at the Adelaide and National Wine Shows, placing tiny little Skillogalee firmly on the map of consequential Australian winemakers

Some Young Punks Drink N Stick Mataro Shiraz 2007

A slightly larger proportion of Mourvedre grown to good vineyards on the Fleurieu Peninsula with Shiraz from the McLaren Vale, a limited production of 1723 dozen. Few wines come with instructions, but this one comes with a wardrobe. Exotic sirens designed to draw attention seemed the best way for Some Young Punks to clothe their wines and avoid becoming wallflowers. Peel the clothing from the sheet to customize the accompanying temptress as you drink. Label is by artist Joe Whyte who has put his own spin on the pulp fiction theme
