A scrumptuous Rosé that tells you the gang at Annie's Lane worked very hard indeed at balancing the skin contact methodologies to come up with the most appealing colour and fullest palate. "Thankfully not sweet, but perceptively tropical with wafts of cooler forest berries, all the right stuff, roses and musk, cherries and apple, and oh what's this? .. a further tumbler full of distinctive regional giveaways like mint, white chocolate and cedar. Fabulous with a smoked salmon pizza, unbeatable with hors d'oeuvres and the choice for cheese!" -QueSyrahSyrah.net |
Known around the world as one of Australia’s best Rieslings, previous vintage claimed Silver International Wine Challenge. "A lovely pure riesling of gentle charm. Top value as well!" -Winorama.com.au, "From a severe drought-affected vintage comes this floral baby, youthful and pretty with musky elements among lime aromatics, then a firmly bodied palate tight with fine minerally textures, and even now, a sense that its future has a honey glow!" -Advertiser, "Peter Lehmann Rieslings shine regularly on the world stage!" -The Telegraph |
Menzies is a single vineyard Cabernet wine from the House of Yalumba, grown to an exceptional site at the heart of the cigar shaped Coonawarra Terra rossa strip. Since inaugural vintage, Menzies has been crafted to small batch winemaking techniques, maintaining the integrity of each parcel right through to maturation. Only the finest of the candidate wines from the vintage are selected before assembling into the archetypal Coonawarra Cabernet, crammed with rich blackberry fruit, drying tannins and the most splendid finish |
Only a few hundred cases of this flagship red are made each vintage, crafted without compromise from the very best parcels of Shiraz grown to the most distinguished sites in the Barossa and McLaren Vale. True to style with great concentration and density balanced by elegance and restraint, in perfect pitch and fine harmony. The tannins are silky and refined, the mid-palate dense and rich. A statuesque, deeply flavoured Shiraz matured in new French oak, approachable on release, Ares will further reward those with patience of up to twenty years |
This vintage at WA’s premium wine growing regions of Margaret & Frankland Rivers, Swan Valley & Gingin promised and delivered a lot for the rich red varietals from the very beginning to the end of the growing season. Conditions during flowering were very good and consequently fruit set was highly successful. Ripeness occurred steadily with great flavours and soft tannins. Matured in French and American oak from a number of different coopers for 12 months, the Cab Shiraz Merlot exhibits loads of flavour and can be enjoyed now or cellared. |
Sauvignon Blanc has found a natural home in the high altitude, cool climate of the Adelaide Hills. Flavours in the grapes develop nicely, with lovely intense varietal characters and bright, natural acids at the higher end of the scale. "Seemingly regardless of vintage, I adore the dry whites that come from Nepenthe. Readers are unlikely to find better crisp, fruit driven, mineral-laced, dry whites than those produced by Nepenthe!" -eRobertparker.com, "The Adelaide Hills have made this grape their own and Nepenthe shines!" -Sydney Morning Herald |
Super Bin 389 & 407
Value packed Bin 128 & 28
Over the last forty years Penfolds Bin 389 has developed a strong identity for consistency, reliability and exceptional value. Components of the wine are matured in the same barrels that held the previous vintage of Grange. Wine lovers enjoy it because it's delicious and ready to drink immediately upon release. |
A textbook Cabernet, the varietally expressive Bin 407 highlights the virtue of sensitive vineyard blending, bold Cabernet flavours are supported by a judicious use of soft oak. Magnificent Cabernet, bursting with a rich panoply of cedary highlights which wrap themselves around the thick berry fruit flavours. |
Introduced as one of the first Bin wines within the Penfolds portfolio, it has become an Australian classic. Penfolds Bin 28 is a ripe fleshy warm-climate Shiraz offering structure and generosity of flavour. Bin 128 has claimed an impressive chestful of awards and was twice named Red of the Year at the London International. |
In 1960 Bill Redman persuaded Max Schubert to acquire a parcel of Coonawarra, and the Bin 128 experience began. The only Penfolds to be pure Coonawarra, it was originally labelled as Claret, and whilst the quality has increased immeasurably, very little has changed about how Bin 128 is made. | |
